Growing up I always loved skateboarding, I was never any good, but I’ll never forget my first board, a Girl Skateboards telephone deck. The company was started in 1993 by an interesting mix of skaters such as Mike Carroll and Rick Howard, and filmmakers Spike Jonze and Megan Baltimore. Girl soon became a distribution company for a number of other brands including Lakai, Chocolate, and Fourstar. The 2000 Girl Slateboards team has an impressive lineup that included Eric Koston, Guy Mariano, Tony Fergueson, and more!
